Review/Recap How to Get Away With Murder | “He Deserved to Die” (Season 1, #7)

“Annalise and the team are focused on Rebecca’s case, but when the judge enforces a gag order, Rebecca takes things into her own hands.”

Great episode, but really, who didn’t see that ending coming? However, I am thoroughly impressed with this episode. The writers and the directors know how to progress the show forward. I know law so I know they don’t always get procedure right, but it’s not overtly essential to the plot line. The important part is the fact that it is written so well to the point that it doesn’t even matter. What does matter is that this show is amazing!

In this latest episode we finally discover that Lina Stangard was pregnant, which points into the direction of Annalise’s husband, or even the boyfriend, but considering that he was a devout reborn again Christian who has taken a vow of virginity – yeah right – it seems unlikely that he would be the father of the child. All directions point to Mr. Darcy.

But anyway, the writing is amazing. There are so many twists and turns here in the show and just as many romantic entanglements that give the show it’s special edge without being trashy. All in all, the show offers enough intrigue and perspective changes to show the build of characterization towards that climactic moment: the death of Mr. Darcy.
